Tubes

tmg has metal-beating machines which give it outstanding capacity to shape the tubes appropriately. They can be tapered once, or even twice.The shaping of the tapered protecting tube can be regulated to accept a tapered sensor element. The degree of tapering varies between the maximum diameter of 15 mm and the minimum of 0.5 mm. For diameters between 1 and 0.5 mm a particular hammering technique is used, especially for MIMS thermocouples.

tmg offers:

• metallic protecting tubes, directly WIG-welded ( ZR 0015)
• metallic protecting tubes, directly WIG-welded with ceramic additional protecting tube (ZR 0701)
• ceramic protecting tubes, without groove, cemented into adapter (ZR 0217)
• ceramic protecting tubes, with groove, cemented and scewed in with a cutting-ring adapter (ZR 0218)

Protecting Tubes

Thermocouples and resistance thermometers are protected with protecting tube against mechanical and chemical influences.

Tubes must be selected with regard to the static thermal load, the current carrying capacity and the chemical-corrosive atmosphere.
