About us

The company Temperaturmesstechnik Geraberg GmbH (abbreviation: tmg) was founded in 1990. Our company has grown from four employees to become a fifty man team which includes five graduate engineers. tmg is located in the middle of Germany, in the province of Thuringia. For decades this region has been one of the most important centers of the East-German thermometer industry. Fast-changing technological developments and the social upheaval resulting from the German re-unification have changed the economic infrastructure of the region immensely. The region‘s long-standing tradition of expertise in temperature measurement instrumentation lives on in tmg.

The high safety and quality of the more than 40.000 various types of thermometer result from tmg‘s quality management. TMG is certified according to ISO 9001 standard since 1994 and one of the first companies with according to ATEX 94/2 certified resistance thermometers and thermocouples for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.

At the end of 2007, newly opened office in Geraberg. There we are produce mineral insulated thermocouples, as well as special and manufactured safety temperature sensors.
